I made motivational postcards for a project that I will send out to friends and family in order to instantly brighten their day. If you want one, by all means, send me your address and I will gladly send you one!

Sandy's ordering kiosk

Sandy's is a well known burger joint here in Austin and has had the same dreary look for 20 years. For this project it was our task to bring Sandy's into the 21st century and design a touchscreen ordering kiosk for them! Not only were we designing the interface for the kiosk, but we also were able to give Sandy's appearance a "facelift". This was a group project and I feel the final result really showcased our individual personalities through our collaborative work. Trying to stick to Sandy's roots, we kept their basic color scheme of yellow and brown but added some present day flair to their look. We chose to stick with effective simplicity to allow the customer to easily navigate through their order by using effective instructional text, immediate feedback about their order, and a logical flow that would ultimately make the ordering process easier, faster, and most of all, pleasant.

Concept Map

With every new project, your mental process matures, and this project was no exception. We had to create a concept map on a specific topic. I chose Fresh Water and wanted to use the concept map to show the scarcity of fresh water use around the world. I wanted everything to lead to everyone at the end to show the importance of this situation and how everyone is affected by it. It was a challenge connecting everything in a logical sequence and pushed me to design in a clear effective way.
